Press Conference at Hotel Park
There I was at the press conference of the Chennai Open tennis championship at Hotel Park. After a quick look at the draw, I was a touch disappointed for there were new no players-none from the top 10 except Moya. Of course, Srichaphan is there.
A lot of expectations was there when TN Govt. pitched in as main sponsor (1 crore).
At least, let's hope there will be more crowd than usual at the Nungambakkam Stadium.

Hi Kirthy
Am a sports fan. Keep posting nice sports articles. I was reading one small article by P.T.Usha in the Olympics Bumper issue of The Sportstar where she criticised the sports administrators and she was pleading for support for her academy. Kindly bring to light such info so that intrested people can help her.
By the by Chess is a growing sport in the country. We need to encourage a lot of our youngsters. Potential world champions are emerging in the country.

Yeah this Tennis Open is getting worser by the year in Chennai. Earlier Amritraj somehow brought in the stars and sponsors. And hey are the Indian duo playing in the doubles....If No then we have our own tennis players to blame for the sorry state of affairs in terms of audience intrest. Just hoping that things change for the better.
Hi Kannappan,
